Available Positions:

The Call Center PFA (Personal Financial Associate) serves as a liaison between the member and the credit union in providing account information and a variety of transaction services to members. 

Responsibilities include taking inbound and making outbound calls, researching existing memberships for potential refinance opportunities and assisting members with any and all questions or problems that arise.  This individual attends to all telephone inquiries and transactions for members, and provides professional, courteous service to all members.

The Call Center PFA also starts loan applications, cross sells credit union products and services.  The individual is responsible for generating and processing loan applications and other documentation necessary for completing loan files, funding approved loans, and maintaining lending department files.

Education & Experience: High school graduate or equivalent with member services, loan training, and/or lending & member service designation/certification preferred. Strong Sales experience in related field is preferred, with six months to one year related experience in lending and/or member services with full-service financial institution and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to perform the duties of Mortgage Loan Officer/Originator. Responsibilities include originating first and second mortgage loans, extending credit in accordance with Credit Union and secondary market investor guidelines, meeting production expectations, actively soliciting business and developing meaningful relationships with HFCU members, area realtors and mortgage brokers, and professionally cross-selling credit union products and services.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to meet minimum monthly production goals
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be versed in FHA, VA, and Conventional Mortgage Lending *Must have working knowledge of originating for secondary market
  • Must have the ability to interpret and apply compliance regulations, policy, and procedures
  • Must effectively communicate using professional verbal and written skills
  • Must work independently, exercise good judgment, demonstrate initiative, meet deadlines, and maintain composure under challenging circumstances
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Required Education and Experience:

  • Coursework in mortgage operations
  • FHA DE a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of LOS, Calyx a plus but not required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in mortgage lending
  • Outside sales, Management, Consumer Lending, & Retail Banking experience is a plus

The Northern Hills Market Manager will be responsible for executing the strategic plan in order to achieve stated objectives within the Northern Hills Market. Objectives are established in the following areas: Business Development, Membership Growth, Product Penetration, Loan Growth, and Market Profitability. This individual is also responsible for managing a support team similar to a traditional bank branch - i.e. new accounts, consumer loan officer, mortgage officer, and/or bank teller.

The right candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate or influence others. This position requires a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Responsible for directing and administering the operational, lending, and business development efforts of the Branch. Ensures that established policies and procedures are followed. Oversees provision of a full range of services to members and prospective members. Ensures that members are promptly and professionally served. Develop and implement processes and procedures for effective operation. Shares some training responsibilities, directs, and supervises Branch staff. Responsible for achieving branch goals and objectives as directed by the Executive Management Team. Cross sells credit union products and services exceeding PFA I/II and PFO levels

Cross sells credit union products and services, CL&CD, GAP, MBP programs.

  • Supervises work scheduling and workflow of daily routine operations.
  • Ensures that operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies and with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures Branch security.  Directs the opening and closing of the building in accordance with set hours and tests security equipment quarterly.
  • Performs PFA I/II, PFO, and Teller responsibilities including processing and approving member loans within established policies and limits, opening accounts and cross-selling products and services, and processes a variety of financial transactions including: deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; selling money orders, and all other negotiable instruments.
  • Makes recommendations and/or implements changes to established policy and procedures within the Branch.
