Phishing Emails & Texts
Scammers pose as legitimate companies or institutions to steal personal information. -
Phone Scams & Spoofing
Fraudsters pretend to be from Highmark, government agencies, or tech support to gain access to your accounts. NOTE: HIGHMARK WILL NEVER CALL OR TEXT YOU AND ASK FOR YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER OR PASSWORD! -
Card Skimming
Devices attached to ATMs or gas pumps steal your card info during use. -
Check Fraud & Account Takeovers
Fraudsters may steal mail, alter checks, or gain unauthorized access to your online accounts.
- If someone posing as HIGHMARK contacts you by phone, email, or text message and wants you to share your personal information, consider it fraud.
- If you receive a text (or email) like the one shown here, do not reply to the sender. Ignore the message and do not call any phone numbers listed in the text.
- If you receive a phone call that seems to be a phishing attempt, end the call immediately. And be aware that area codes can be misleading: a local area code does not always guarantee that the caller is local.
