 Smart Money Moves For Teens

At Highmark we have a variety of products and services designed for teens aged 13-19, providing the perfect opportunity to start building healthy financial habits early. For teens under 18, a parent/legal guardian must be a joint account holder. However, parents/guardians do not need to be Highmark members. 
 
As a Teen Club savings account (share) holder, you'll have access to all of our savings and investment products, helping you plan for the future. Plus, with a free rewards checking account you can show your school pride (and give back to your local Booster Club) by selecting from our wide variety of custom High School or College Spirit Cards 
 
Additionally, you can get rewarded for making good grades. With our new SMART MONEY program, keeping your GPA up means you can earn money.
 
Here's how: 
• All Highmark members, age 13-19, who have (or open) a Teen Account are eligible to participate.
• Must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher at either a public or private area school.*
• Teens will receive $10 for maintaining a 3.5 GPA in the Fall semester, and another $10 for the Spring semester.
 
The deadline for submitting Fall grades is Feb 28, 2025, and the Spring deadline is July 31, 2025. 
• Bring the final semester report card to any of our five Highmark branches or upload here. 
• Funds will be deposited directly into your Highmark Teen Account
Keep making those great grades and being rewarded with the SMART MONEY program.
 
Scholarships: 
And when you are a Senior, be sure to apply to receive a Highmark Credit Union Scholarship. Those open in February of each year and close in March.

Join Highmark Credit Union today, and get yourself a cool school spirit debit card! Yes, you do need to sign up for a free checking account before you can show your colors, but that's easy!  If you are under age 18, then we do ask that a parent or legal guardian be a joint owner on your account; however, they do not need to be members of Highmark Credit Union. All of our savings and checking accounts are available to Teen Club account holders, as is the scholarship for graduating seniors.
